BMO Nesbitt Burns – National Operations BMO Nesbitt Burns is one of North America's leading full-service investment firms; a recognized leader in the areas of personal finance, investment research, investment & corporate banking, institutional equity and capital markets. Their National Operations Team’s office environment, comprised of 19 departments, was sorely in need of upgrading and rejuvenation. No major capital allocation for refurbishment had taken place since 1985. Departments and groups within departments were scattered throughout First Canadian Place; consolidation was foremost in their planning objectives. Nesbitt Burns was looking for a solution that would increase productivity, enhance employee morale and provide for better team alignment and workflow. A three year growth plan along with maximum utilization of usable floor space were to be accommodated while working within Premises / Nesbitt Burns guidelines and standards. POI’s solution incorporates modular systems furnishings with low height panels to promote interaction and enhanced communication. The low panel height permits natural light to reach into the building core. Core areas are dedicated for storage and copier/printer areas as well as for informal meeting enclaves and lunchrooms. New meeting room and lounge furnishings from Keilhauer, Steelcase and Global. A vibrant colour palette is designated for the high traffic areas, whereas a somewhat more muted colour scheme is applied for the open office areas. Feedback from the customer has been unanimous - the results of the detailed planning exercise and the refurbishment have exceeded their expectations! |
