Workplace Consultant / Designer (Windsor)

Reports To 

Regional Manager


Position Summary

The role of Workplace Consultant will focus on meeting and exceeding our new and existing client’s goals and objectives regarding the development of innovative and integrated workplace solutions to achieve their organizational objectives. In this role, you will work collaboratively with clients and partner with their consultants to inform the development of design concepts all with the goal of informing excellent and effective workplace design and implementation. Your role also requires you to conduct research and translate your deep knowledge of workplace trends and industry benchmarks into client-specific solutions.


General Responsibilities

 

  • Qualifying strategic opportunities received from new business development team, account managers or others
  • Gathering information to understand the client’s business and requirements to determine the client’s workplace issues
  • Developing and executing an opportunity strategy working closely with Senior Management
  • Challenging the client’s requirements based on wider knowledge of workplace trends
  • Developing strong relationships with all stakeholders and drive brand preference to POI
  • Translating the analysis of the client’s needs and requirements into potential solutions
  • Working with internal teams to develop inspired solutions
  • Working collaboratively with clients and their consultants to narrow down and validate solutions
  • Working closely with Account Managers and New Business Developers on projects and opportunities

  • Winning business for assigned project opportunities

  • Supporting the POI Customer Journey

  • Other duties as required

Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning, another related field or equivalent experience required
  • A proven track record of communicating at a high level: drawing insights from users and cultural trends, creating frameworks, expressing compelling solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of workplace trends
  • Strong understanding of system furniture and components
  • An acute understanding of the value of design in supporting successful business outcomes and organizational transformation
  • Excellent knowledge of and skills in utilizing AutoCAD software and Configura CET Designer
  • Excellent working knowledge of current Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Work Conditions

  • This role is based out of POI’s Windsor office, ample free parking is available
  • Travel to client site, generally within the Windsor area is considered a part of this job description (Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential)
  • Hours are flexible based on a 35 work week
