Connected environments and healthcare furniture provider delivers solutions to ‘In-Need’ facilities across Ontario
Toronto, May 7, 2020– POI Business Interiors, Canada’s largest workplace interior solutions provider, acquired 5000 face shields and is donating and distributing them to healthcare facilities, including hospitals and long-term care facilities, to support essential workers across the province.
With the need for rapid response solutions to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, POI has drawn on its 200+ supplier network to curate proactive solutions including protective screens, pods, chairs and recliners as well as emergency beds and overbed tables. The 5000 protective shields are being donated to fill shortages as far south as Windsor and as far north as Sault Ste Marie.
“We’ve reached out to customers across Ontario including hospitals in the GTA, KW, Barrie and London to determine where we can have the greatest impact” says POI Chairman & CEO Gary Scholl, whose father founded the company. “We all need to do our part to ensure that we flatten the curve in order to mitigate the spread of this infection and prevent our healthcare system from becoming overstressed.”
