In response to the rapidly changing health crisis relating to COVID-19, POI has implemented a business continuity plan in order to safeguard the health of our employees and customers while ensuring that our supply chain remains healthy. We are constantly updating this plan and evolving our responses, and taking appropriate actions as the situation evolves to ensure we are in alignment with The Public Health Agency of Canada recommendations. These include both internal protocols and external facing practices designed to mitigate spread of the virus.

Message to Healthcare Workers 

POI wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to all healthcare providers and front line staff during this unprecedented crisis. Combatting this virus is our common goal and we are grateful for your dedication to the essential role that you continue to play which ultimately saves lives. As your healthcare furnishing partner, we are ready to fulfill any requirements that you may need to ramp up in this fight against COVID-19.

Business Continuity Update 

  • POI is fully open for business to support customer workplace requirements including home office product pickups.  POI offices are now open by appointment only and with safety protocols in place

  • We have facilitated seamless work-from-home accessibility through technology tools for employees as per their needs. Our offices are effectively designed to support and adhere to strict social distancing guidelines

  • We are actively communicating and encouraging behaviors that help prevent the spread of illness based on Health Canada recommendations including cleaning and disinfecting the office environment while encouraging hand washing and social distancing measures

  • Our Leadership Team has setup a task force to review all practices at regular intervals in order to remain agile in our response as the situation changes

  • All non-essential business travel has been frozen. POI offers flexible video conferencing capabilities from desktops and conference rooms, which can be used with clients and partners whenever possible

Supply Chain

  • POI remains open for business as it is defined as an Essential Workplace that supplies other essential businesses or essential services within Ontario to support Supply Chain continuity

  • The Canadian and U.S. government agreed to temporarily restrict all non-essential travel across the Canada-U.S. border. These restrictions do not apply to commercial trade and trucking and do not impact our business or supply chain

  • We are not experiencing any current interruptions as a result of the pandemic.

  • We are committed to maintaining our shipping and delivery schedules where businesses are able to receive them and according to the local Order
