Draft-Tech, who consist of structural detailers and structural engineers, were looking to expand their current location to accommodate for growth. They engaged POI to assist in the planning of their space which would accommodate the integration of new employees. They also required furniture solutions that would align with their teams’ business functions, including the creation of settings that support focus, touchdown and collaboration activities.
POI worked with Draft-Tech to specify and curate solutions that were adaptable and mobile to accommodate for flexible teams. The usage of technology in their space was also a key consideration in planning their furniture. By developing a range of settings, individuals were given choice and control in where and how they worked within the space.
Draft-Tech also wanted to create a flex space where employees could work in groups or independently with ease. Once they visited Steelcase Head Office in Grand Rapids the client wanted to proceed with expanding their office and completing a renovation using the Flex Collection from Steelcase as their main product. Draft-Tech can now better support their hybrid work model. They have the feel and culture of an open collaborative and unique space, and their employees have an ability to customize their individual workspace to alternate between standing or sitting while maintaining privacy.
